This month: 7 new features — including screen cloning in the Cancel Survey Builder, the Stay MCP for Claude (now in beta), and a new Customer Portal savings widget — plus 14 improvements.

What's New

Clone Screens in Cancel Survey Builder

New feature · Unique to Stay

You can now clone any screen in the Cancel Survey Builder, copying its offer type, settings, and structure as a starting point for a new one. Build A/B test variations or keep formatting consistent across a multi-screen survey without rebuilding from scratch — cloned screens land as drafts you can edit independently before wiring them into a flow.

New Segmentation Conditions: Product Name & Line Item Type

New feature · Unique to Stay

Build segments using two new conditions — Product Name (subscriptions containing a specific product) and Line Item Type. Both are available through the existing "+ Filter" control, giving you more precise targeting for retention flows, offers, and cancel survey logic.

Full Button Control on the Next Shipment Card

New feature · Unique to Stay

You can now show or hide each action button on the Next Shipment card individually — Cancel, Swap, Gift Next Order, Pause, and more — and choose which surface at the top level versus inside a configurable "More" menu. Guide customers toward the actions you want front and center while keeping less-common options accessible.

Rivo Widget Support in the Portal Editor

New feature

Merchants integrated with Rivo can now drag loyalty points, rewards status, and referral widgets directly into their Customer Portal V3 layout — no code required, using the same drag-and-drop editor as every other portal component.

Stay MCP for Claude — Now in Beta!

New feature

Stay is now available as an MCP connector for Claude. Connect your store's subscription data directly to Claude and ask questions about churn, cancel reasons, revenue trends, and cohort behavior right in the same conversation where you're already working. Sign up at stay.ai/introducing-stay-ai-mcp to join the beta.

Customer Portal LTV Savings Widget

New feature

Subscribers now see a personalized widget showing the total they've saved since subscribing, displayed near the top of the portal so it's visible without scrolling. It only appears once a subscriber has accrued savings above $0, giving you an always-on reminder of subscription value at the exact moment they're managing their account.

Improvements

Decision Engine Integration for Cancel Surveys

Unique to Stay

Your cancel survey flow now connects to the decision engine, so different subscriber segments can be routed to different survey paths or offer treatments — with results feeding back in for continuous, self-optimizing improvement to your retention performance.

Banner & Quick Action Links Now Work for Cancelled Subscribers

Improvement · Unique to Stay

Banner ad and Quick Action plan links in the Customer Portal are now clickable for customers in a cancelled state, so win-back offers, reactivation flows, and promotional links actually function for churned customers instead of going dead.

Variant-Level Segmentation Visibility in the Catalog

Improvement · Unique to Stay

The product catalog now flags which products have variants restricted to specific customer segments, making segmentation status visible at the variant level for more precise product display and management.

Quantity Parameter for Swap Links in URL Builder

Improvement · Unique to Stay

Swap-type URL Builder links can now pre-configure both the product being swapped to and the quantity in a single click — useful for campaigns, post-purchase flows, and winback sequences where quantity matters.

In-Flow Analytics & Winner Declaration for Cancel Survey A/B Tests

Improvement · Unique to Stay

The A/B Test tab now shows live per-branch analytics as your test runs, and Stay automatically declares a winning survey based on save-rate performance across branches — no exporting data or using outside tooling required.

Alignment Toggle for Next Shipment Card Buttons

Improvement · Unique to Stay

Choose whether Next Shipment card action buttons display horizontally or stacked vertically, with a live preview as you toggle. Horizontal remains the default, so existing portals are unaffected until you actively change it.

Banner Add-Ons Now Respect Product Catalog Restrictions

Improvement

Banner add-on placements now enforce the same catalog restrictions used elsewhere in the portal, so segment-restricted products no longer surface where customers aren't eligible to add them.

Quick Action Plans Now Respect Segment Visibility

Improvement

Quick Action plans filter out any actions referencing products a customer's segment can't see. If every action in a plan would be restricted, the plan is marked unavailable rather than partially completing.

Average Customer LTV in Executive Summary Export

Improvement

Average Customer Lifetime Value is now available in the Executive Summary report, giving leadership a clear read on long-term business health without pulling data from separate sources.

A/B Testing for Cancel Surveys

Improvement

Run A/B tests directly on your Cancel Surveys using a new flow builder — configure two or more branches, each with its own weight or segment assignment, and Stay routes customers automatically as they initiate cancellation.

Auto-Pass on New Payment Methods

Improvement

Adding a new payment method in Customer Portal V3 now automatically assigns it to the subscription — no separate confirmation step needed. Applies to Quick Action plans with an Add Payment Method action too.

Swap Action Surfaced Directly on the Product Card

Improvement

Customers see a Swap button right on the product card for a faster exchange path. For single-product subscriptions, the Edit button is automatically hidden since it no longer serves a purpose in the swap context.

Skeleton Loader for Discount Code Calculations

Improvement

The discount section now shows a loading state while Shopify calculates the discount, replacing the blank/frozen look that was causing customers to resubmit or abandon.

Source Attribution Column in Subscriptions Export

Improvement

The subscriptions export now shows whether a subscription action was initiated through the Merchant Portal or Customer Portal — useful for understanding portal adoption and support patterns.

Subscription Currency Added to Exports

Improvement

Subscription and Subscription Lines exports now show both your store's default currency and the subscription's own currency on cart value and line item price, for a fuller view on multi-currency accounts.
