This month: 7 new features — including Extended Out-of-Stock Retries, Forecast Date on the Forecasting Graph, and Bulk Punch Addition — plus 19 improvements and 1 fix.

What's New

Extended Out-of-Stock Retries

New feature · Unique to Stay

You can now set out-of-stock retries anywhere from 0 to 90 days, with Stay retrying the subscription daily until inventory is available or your retry limit is reached. Choose your retry window on the Subscriber Billing page. If the limit is reached, the subscription moves to its next billing date. This gives temporary inventory gaps far more time to resolve before a subscription churns. This feature is currently in beta.

QR Code Generator in the URL Builder

New feature · Unique to Stay

QR codes now generate automatically for the URLs you create in the URL Builder and appear at the bottom of the saved URL screen. Download one to print on packaging, print materials, or in-store displays, or copy the image to paste into any email builder.

Bulk Punch Addition

New feature

You can now add punches in bulk to a list of subscribers, either by uploading a CSV or selecting a saved segment. It's ideal for running a promotion, rewarding a cohort, or correcting punch counts without updating subscribers one by one. This is currently handled by the Stay team. Reach out to your CSM with your target segment or subscriber list and the number of punches to add.

Forecast Date on the Forecasting Graph

New feature

A new Forecast Date selector on the Forecasting graph lets you pick any date up to 30 days back and see what was queued and forecasted for your selected date range as it looked then, so you can compare it to what actually happened. For past days, the graph shows how queued orders resolved (Successful, Date Moved, or Failed) alongside an Actual revenue line. For upcoming days, queued orders are split into Not in Dunning and In Dunning. Clear the Forecast Date to return to the latest forecast.

Add Punches Quick Action

New feature

When a customer opens an Add Punches Quick Action link, the portal now tells them how many punches they're receiving, for example "You're getting 3 punches added to your punch card!". Their punch card progress updates to match.

Friendly Names in the Merchant Portal

New feature

Subscription friendly names now appear in the Merchant Portal, not just the Customer Portal. The name shows above the subscription ID on the Subscriptions list and in the header of the subscription detail page, so you can tell apart the many subscriptions a customer may have under one email.

Segments Passed to Klaviyo

New feature

Events sent to Klaviyo now include a subscriber's Stay segment membership as both profile and event properties, updating as subscribers enter and leave segments. You can now trigger Klaviyo flows from, or filter them by, the segments you've already built in Stay.

Improvements

Archive Segments

Improvement · Unique to Stay

You can now archive segments you no longer need from the three-dot menu on any row in your segments list. Archived segments disappear from your list and detail views once you confirm, keeping your list organized without permanently deleting any data.

Segment Type & Last Updated Columns

Improvement · Unique to Stay

Your segments list now shows each segment's type (Static or Dynamic) and when it was last updated. This makes it clear why segment counts can differ: static segments reflect real-time membership, while dynamic segments refresh daily. The columns appear automatically, with no setup required.

Queued vs. Dunning Revenue on the Forecasting Graph

Improvement · Unique to Stay

The Forecasting graph now uses a stacked bar chart to separate Queued orders and revenue (healthy upcoming orders) from Dunning orders and revenue (billing reattempts and past-due orders), with the dashed Forecasted Revenue trendline still overlaid. Hover over any bar to see Queued and Dunning revenue broken out for that date. You can now tell healthy pipeline from at-risk volume at a glance.

Billing Attempts in the Open API

Improvement · Unique to Stay

The Open API now gives you direct access to every billing attempt, including successes, failures, and recoveries. Each record includes the attempt date, error details, subscription and customer information, the retry source (scheduled or Get It Now), and the recovery journey it belongs to, so you can build on the same data that powers the Payment Recovery Dashboard.

Customer Lifecycle Webhooks

Improvement

Stay now sends webhooks when a customer is created, reactivates, or cancels, so your analytics and attribution tools can track acquisition, churn, and win-back in real time. This feature is currently in beta.

Out-of-Stock Email Notification Limiter

Improvement

Customers no longer receive an out-of-stock email on every daily retry. The email now sends once per suppression window (7 days by default), and you can see the suppression status on the Subscriber Billing page.

Customers Endpoint in the Open API

Improvement

API users can now retrieve a paginated list of all customers (up to 250 per page), including customer IDs, contact info, subscription IDs, origin order details, LTV, order count, and status.

Full Customer Details When Querying by ID

Improvement

Querying a single customer by ID in the Open API now returns the full customer record, including phone, subscription IDs, origin order details, LTV, order count, and status.

Subscription Contract IDs on Order Lines

Improvement

Orders and order webhooks in the API now include the subscription contract ID on each order line, making it easy to map lines back to the right subscription when an order spans multiple subscriptions.

Cancel Survey — LTV Savings Widget

Improvement

Turn on the LTV Savings Widget in your Cancel Survey's General Settings to show subscribers their total savings to date at the top of the flow, right when they're considering leaving. It's off by default, so nothing changes unless you opt in, and it requires no copywriting or ongoing setup.

Cancel Survey Export — Customer Email & Subscription ID

Improvement

The Cancel Survey export now includes each customer's email and Shopify subscription ID, so you can use the data directly for post-cancellation outreach.

Cancel Survey — Combine Discount with Save Offers

Improvement

You can now stack a discount code on top of a save offer in your Cancel Survey. When configuring a save offer, check Combine discount with offer, choose a fixed-amount or percentage discount, and enter your discount code. Customers see both the offer and the discount on single and multi-offer save screens, and save offers without a combined discount are unchanged.

Cancel Survey — Product Swap Offer Translations

Improvement

The Product Swap Offer in your Cancel Survey can now be translated, so customers see the offer in your store's language. Translate it from the Multi-Language page under the Cancel tab.

Bulk Updater — Refresh Shipping

Improvement

You can now refresh shipping rates across multiple subscriptions at once from the Bulk Updater. Previously this required going through Stay's support team; now you can handle it yourself in seconds.

Workflows — Order Cycle and Segment Conditions

Improvement

Workflows now support two new conditions. Order Cycle lets you act on a subscriber's order number, such as sending an offer on their 3rd order. Segment lets you include or exclude subscribers based on whether they belong to one or more of your saved segments.

Workflows — Change Next Billing Date Action

Improvement

You can now add a Change Next Billing Date action to a workflow, setting a subscription's next billing date either relative to when the workflow runs (a set number of days, weeks, or months out) or to a fixed calendar date. This lets you automate billing schedule adjustments without manual edits.

Tiered Discounts — Expanded Product Selection

Improvement

You can now add any product available in the Merchant Portal to a tiered discount, not just products available on the Customer Portal through the Stay Product Catalog.

Billing Failures — Accurate Attempt Numbers

Improvement

The Billing Failures export now shows the correct attempt number for each billing event. Previously, every row in a recovery period displayed the most recent attempt count.

More Dunning Detail in the Open API

Improvement

The subscriptions API now exposes more dunning detail, including failed-payment and out-of-stock attempt counts, whether a subscription is currently in dunning, and (when querying a single subscription) when dunning started and ended. This makes it easier to build custom reporting and recovery workflows.

Fixes

Workflows — Bundle Product Swap

Fix

Workflows that swap a single product within a bundle now update only the targeted item and leave the rest of the bundle intact. Previously, the entire bundle could be replaced by the single swapped item.
