This month: 8 new features — including the new Welcome Dashboard, preset date ranges on your analytics dashboards, and Next Billing Date segmentation — plus 14 improvements.

What's New

Analytics: Preset Date Ranges on Dashboards

New feature · Unique to Stay

Analytics dashboards now include a redesigned date picker with one-click presets — Yesterday, Last 7/30/90 Days, Week/Month/Quarter/Year to Date, and full previous periods like Last Month or Last Quarter — plus a custom calendar range and control over how data is bucketed (day, week, month, quarter, year).

No more manually setting start and end dates for the reporting windows you use every day.

Welcome Dashboard

New feature · Unique to Stay

Logging into Stay now opens to a Welcome Dashboard — a 30-day snapshot of your subscription program with a revenue chart, key stats (active subscriptions, active subscribers, revenue and orders from yesterday), your top 3 products, quick access to Staylien, and the latest feature announcements, all on one screen.

Next Billing Date Segmentation

New feature · Unique to Stay

Build segments based on when a subscriber's next charge will occur — pick a fixed date or a rolling window, including "is between" ranges. Segment membership updates automatically as billing dates change, making it easy to run proactive campaigns ahead of a charge to reduce churn or offer timely promotions.

Segment Subscriber Counts

New feature · Unique to Stay

Both dynamic and static segments now show a live subscriber count right on the segment list, so you can see audience size at a glance instead of opening each segment individually.

Digital Punch Card Progress on Subscription Details

New feature

Your team can now see a customer's punch card progress — filled and unfilled punches, reward status, and issue date — directly on the subscription details page, without navigating to a separate view.

Shopify Order Tag Segmentation

New feature

Segments can now be filtered by Shopify Order Tags, using "is," "is not," or "contains." Membership updates automatically as tags change, opening up targeting based on fulfillment type, loyalty tier, campaign source, or any other tag already in use in your Shopify workflow.

Manual Punch Adjustments in the Merchant Portal

New feature

You can now manually add or remove punches from a customer's Digital Punch Card directly in the merchant portal — useful for handling refunds, goodwill gestures, or data corrections without needing engineering support.

Improvements

Digital Punch Card Reward Visuals

Improvement · Unique to Stay

Punch card reward milestones now show visuals matched to the reward — the actual product image for free-product rewards, and a configurable custom icon for discount code rewards — on both the merchant preview and customer-facing portal.

Subscription ID in Static Segment Uploads

Improvement · Unique to Stay

The static segment upload modal now clearly lists Subscription ID as an accepted CSV column, so you can build target lists using subscription IDs without guesswork.

Cancel Survey Analytics — Subscription vs. Session View

Improvement · Unique to Stay

The Cancel Survey Analytics dashboard now includes a toggle between session-level and subscription-level views of cancel reason data. Switch to "View by Subscription" to collapse duplicate cancel attempts from the same subscription for a cleaner read on what's actually driving churn.

CSV Import for Bulk Updater

Improvement

Import a CSV of subscription IDs directly into the Bulk Updater to target a precise list for any bulk action — and the previous 2,000-subscription limit is gone.

Bulk Change Billing Frequency

Improvement

Change billing frequency for a filtered group of subscriptions in bulk from the Bulk Updater. Prepaid subscriptions are automatically skipped, and you'll see a disclaimer before the job runs.

Streamlined Bulk Updater Navigation

Improvement

The legacy Bulk Updater has been retired. Bulk update jobs are now created directly from the Subscriptions page — filter your subscriptions, then choose Create Bulk Update from the filters menu. Job history remains fully accessible.

Faster Subscription Filtering

Improvement

Filtering on the Subscriptions page now loads noticeably faster, especially for merchants with large subscriber bases.

Clearer Static vs. Dynamic Segment Creation

Improvement

When creating a new segment, you're now prompted to choose between a Static segment (built from an uploaded list) or a Dynamic segment (built from conditions) — making both paths equally easy to find.

Digital Punch Card Tracker Visibility Fix

Improvement

The Digital Punch Card tracker in the merchant portal now only appears when DPC is actively enabled for the store, so it no longer lingers after you've disabled the feature.

Static Segment Export

Improvement

Export a static segment's subscribers and subscriptions as a downloadable list, ready to use for reporting, external marketing tools, or list reconciliation. Dynamic segment export is coming soon.

Smart Dunning Retry Update

Improvement

Smart Dunning now supports up to 20 retries over 60+ days for soft declines, with more aggressive attempts early on to maximize recovery. Hard declines use a similar timeframe with fewer total retries to avoid friction with banks and processors — meaning more recovered subscriptions and fewer unnecessary cancellations.

Combined Quantity & Price Update in Bulk Updater

Improvement

The Bulk Updater's "Change Line Item Quantity" and "Change Price" actions are now a single combined action, so quantity and price changes apply together instead of one overwriting the other.

Date Range Now Applies to Subscription Timing Graph

Improvement

The Subscription Timing graph on the Summary Dashboard now responds to your selected date range instead of always showing all active subscriptions — so the view reflects the period you actually chose.

Subscription Timing Graph Default Filter & Toggle

Improvement

The Subscription Timing graph now defaults to subscriptions active or paused for the full selected date range, with a toggle to switch to the broader "any point in the range" view. Helper text explains the difference, and the toggle resets on each page load.
