Updated this week

This month: 7 new features — including the new Cancellation Survey builder, Universal Segments, and Staylien — plus 6 improvements across analytics, billing, and the developer API.

January 5 – January 16

New Cancellation Survey

New feature · Unique to Stay

Access a new visual cancellation survey builder to optimize your entire retention strategy. Target specific customers with conditional logic and stack unlimited save offers to maximize retention.

Design Builder for New Cancellation Survey

New feature · Unique to Stay

Configure and preview your entire cancel survey visually in the merchant portal — all customizations visible in one place before you go live.

Stay's Universal Segments

New feature · Unique to Stay

Create segments directly in Stay to deliver tailored cancellation flows to specific customer cohorts. Target subscribers based on behavior, churn risk signals, subscription attributes, and more.

Open API: Webhook Deletion Scoped to Creating Token

Improvement

Webhook deletion is now restricted to the API token that originally created the webhook, preventing other integrations from accidentally removing webhooks they don't own.

January 19 – January 23

Auto-Apply Digital Punch Card Rewards

New feature · Unique to Stay

Punch card rewards are now automatically applied to the subscription that earned them — no action required from the customer. Enable this setting to remove the redemption step entirely.

Faster Load Times on Analytics Graphs

Improvement

The Summary, Churn, and Product Performance dashboards now load faster, display in Eastern Standard Time, and handle data-heavy graphs in seconds.

Cancel Survey: Improved Error Handling

Improvement

Error handling in the cancel survey has been strengthened to resolve issues with deleted save offers and confirmation screens, delivering a more dependable build experience.

OpenAPI: Query Subscriptions by Prepaid Next Delivery Date

Improvement

Developers and third-party apps can now query subscriptions by their next prepaid delivery date, making it easier to identify which prepaid subscribers have upcoming orders within a given window.

January 26 – January 30

Staylien (beta)

New feature · Unique to Stay

Use Staylien, Stay's AI for subscription analytics, to explore key metrics and trends in plain language — get answers from your Stay dashboards without digging through reports.

Cancel Survey: Conditional Immediate Cancel

New feature · Unique to Stay

Configure a conditional Immediate Cancel option within your cancellation flow. When enabled, a button appears allowing customers to bypass the survey and cancel immediately — giving you control to meet regional compliance requirements while preserving your standard survey experience for everyone else.

New Segment Conditions: LTV and Order Count

New feature · Unique to Stay

Segment customers by Subscriber and Subscription Lifetime Value, as well as Order Count. Use these in the Segments builder and the Cancel Survey to target save offers more precisely — for example, offering higher-value incentives to your highest-value customers.

Global Availability for Add Credit Card

Improvement

The add credit card flow in the customer portal no longer requires a State/Province, allowing customers in all countries to add their card details. Contact your CSM to enable this feature.
