This month: 8 new features — including the Cancel Survey Analytics Dashboard, Quick Actions Usage Limits, and Staylien's expanded subscription Q&A — plus 14 improvements and 1 fix.

What's New

Cancel Survey Dashboard — Save Offer Effectiveness Heatmap

New feature · Unique to Stay

A new Save Offer Effectiveness heatmap in your Cancellation Survey analytics shows which save offers perform best against each cancellation reason. The table breaks down selection counts, save rates per reason, and highlights high-performing combinations in green when save rates exceed 8%. Use it to pinpoint which offers resonate by reason and sharpen your flow logic accordingly.

Quick Actions — Custom Header & Body Copy

New feature

Add custom headline and body text to any Quick Action URL in the URL Builder. The copy displays to the customer when they open the link — giving you full control over the message at high-intent moments like winback campaigns, reactivation offers, or upsell prompts. Fields are optional and additive; existing Quick Action URLs are unaffected.

Note: Requires Customer Portal V3. Contact your CSM to confirm your portal version.

Quick Actions — Usage Limits

New feature · Unique to Stay

Set a per-subscriber usage cap on any Quick Action URL. Once a subscriber reaches the limit, they see a clear message instead of being able to complete the action again — preventing repeat redemptions on one-time or limited-run offers. No usage limit is set by default, so existing Quick Actions are unaffected.

Product Segmentation — Catalog Visibility by Customer Segment

New feature · Unique to Stay

Control which products and variants are visible to specific subscriber segments, directly from the Product Detail page. Assign availability at the product level or toggle into per-variant mode for more granular control — segments pull from your existing Segment Builder configurations. Customers outside the assigned segment won't see restricted products in the Customer Portal, enabling personalized catalog experiences for different subscriber cohorts.

Note: Rolling out to merchants — contact your CSM for access.

Cancel Survey Analytics Dashboard

New feature

A full Cancellation Survey Analytics suite is now live, giving you deep visibility into why customers cancel and how your save flows perform. Includes four views: top-level save and churn rate KPIs with estimated MRR saved; a time-series graph of saves vs. cancellations by day, week, month, or year; aggregated cancellation reason breakdowns with access to free-text "Other" responses; and a monthly heatmap of cancellation reason intensity for spotting seasonal patterns or emerging churn drivers.

Dynamic Banners — Video Support

New feature

Dynamic Banners in the Customer Portal now support video content. Configure a video in the banner carousel — it plays inline in the banner slot, and the carousel pauses auto-rotation while the video plays, resuming after it ends or the customer navigates away. Standard web video formats are supported.

Staylien — Expanded Subscription Data Q&A

New feature

Staylien can now answer direct questions about your subscription and subscriber data, beyond what's visible on your dashboards. Ask about cohort performance, cancellation trends, billing frequency breakdowns, LTV by signup month, and more — across any time range. No data export required.

Improvements

Add Credit Card in Customer Portal — Now Available for All Merchants, Including Authorize.net

Improvement

The in-portal add credit card interface is now available to all merchants, including those using Authorize.net as their payment gateway. Customers can update their card directly in the portal during a billing recovery flow — without being redirected to a Shopify email payment update page.

Customer Portal — 4th Dynamic Banner Slot

Improvement · Unique to Stay

A fourth dynamic banner slot is now available in the Customer Portal. It supports all the same configuration options, segment targeting rules, and display behavior as the existing three slots — giving you more space to run layered or granular messaging strategies without displacing existing banners.

Cancellation Reason Graph — Abandon Counts

Improvement · Unique to Stay

The Cancellation Reasons graph now shows abandon counts alongside cancellation counts, broken out by the reason the customer selected before dropping off. You can now see not just who cancelled, but how many customers started the flow and left without completing it — making it easier to identify where save offers are working and where customers are disengaging.

Cancel Survey Dashboard — "Other" Responses Linked to Subscriber

Improvement · Unique to Stay

In the Cancellation Survey analytics "Other" responses drill-down, each free-text response now links directly to that subscriber's account record. Navigate from a cancellation reason straight to the subscriber without leaving the analytics view or running a separate search.

Cancel Survey — In-Flow Analytics Auto-Selects First Reason

Improvement · Unique to Stay

When you open the in-flow analytics view for a Cancel Survey, the first cancellation reason is now automatically selected and its associated flow displays immediately — no extra click required to see the flow panel populate.

Customer Portal V3 — Auto-Select New Payment Method After Adding a Card

Improvement · Unique to Stay

After a customer successfully adds a new payment method in the portal, they're returned to the Edit Payment Method modal with the new card automatically highlighted and marked "In Use." The improved flow reduces friction and minimizes the chance customers abandon mid-update.

Subscriptions Page — Last Order Date & Paused Until Date Filters

Improvement · Unique to Stay

Two new filters are available on the Subscriptions page: Last Order Date filters by when the most recent order was generated; Paused Until Date filters paused subscriptions by their scheduled reactivation date. Use them alongside existing filters to build more targeted lists for outreach, audits, or operational reviews.

Flow Builder — Undo / Redo

Improvement · Unique to Stay

The Cancel Survey Flow Builder now supports Undo and Redo. Reverse or re-apply changes while building or editing flows — no more risk of losing work when iterating on complex retention journeys.

Customer Portal V3 — Customizable "Cancel Hidden" Message

Improvement

When the "Allow Hiding Cancel Button" setting is enabled, new subscribers see a message in place of the cancel option during the configured grace period. You can now customize that message in the Pause/Cancel settings in the merchant portal — replace the default copy with language that matches your brand and policy.

Support for Shopify Subscription ID in Portal URLs

Improvement

The Customer Portal URL router now accepts the numeric Shopify subscription ID in addition to Stay's internal subscription ID format. Merchants building portal deep links from CRM, support, or internal tools can use whichever ID their system surfaces — no changes required on the customer-facing side.

Customer Portal — Hide "Add More Products" Button

Improvement

Merchants can now hide the "Add More Products" button in the Customer Portal. Use this to reduce catalog complexity, limit purchases to specific add-ons, or enforce curated subscription bundles. When hidden, customers won't see the option to browse and add products during subscription management.

Customer Portal Quick Actions — Custom Price on Add Item

Improvement

When configuring an Add Item Quick Action, you can now set a custom price for the product being added. Enable the "Set Price" toggle and enter the exact amount — if left off, pricing falls back to the catalog or Shopify default, exactly as before.

Note: Requires Customer Portal V3. Contact your CSM to confirm your portal version.

Customer Portal — Remove Items from Banners

Improvement

Merchants can now remove individual items from Customer Portal banners. Previously, items added to a banner couldn't be removed without rebuilding the banner from scratch. You now have full control to add and remove banner items as your promotional strategy evolves.

Cancel Survey Analytics — CSV Exports

Improvement

Export data from four Cancellation Survey analytics graphs directly from the analytics page: Save vs. Cancelled, Cancellation Reasons, Cancellation Reason Intensity, and Save Offer Effectiveness. Each export includes cancellation reason, survey name, selection counts, saves, and churn counts — making it easy to analyze or share data outside the platform.

Fixes

Digital Punch Card — Auto-Apply with Discount Stacking

Fix

Digital Punch Card rewards now apply correctly in stores with discount stacking enabled, even when another discount code is already active on the subscription. Previously, earned rewards could silently fail to apply in this configuration.
